Heart Work

Just when life seems to hard to bear, the clouds break and the sun comes pouring through.
Life is so much better today than it was yesterday.
I can only imagine what tomorrow will be like.

Have you ever noticed how everyone has a cause?  For some its politics, for others home births.  For a few, sustainable foods, for others educational reform.  The causes are varied and many, but it seems everyone has one. All you have to do is take a look at facebook and you'll see the things people either believe in, or profess to believe in.
I have had causes to call my own at different times throughout my life and I'm constantly being boxed into causes that I have strong opinions about.  I find it amazing, that throughout our crazy lives, we all still feel a pull and a draw to solving the world.  We all seem to feel a need to fix things and make the world more...good, simple, or effective.
But what do we do about the causes we seem to want to accept?  Do we embody the mission?  Do we post a few things on the internet?  Do we sign a petition or march on Washington?  How does one take a cause and actually fulfill that mission?
I believe in truly feeling and fulfilling my causes.  I have always been that way as long as I can remember.  But sometimes it makes a heart so sore.  It can cause the greatest sorrow and pain to feel so deeply and to want so badly to help.

My kiddies are crazy this year.  I love them, but they are nuts.  What an interesting ride.  Someday maybe I will go back to school too.  I already miss it.  Although I've certainly found plenty to keep me busy these days... More on that coming soon!
