Well hi there y'all!
I'm still flying high off my Demolition Derby persona from last night.
Speaking of the demolition derby...wow! What an event! I had always heard people talk about these car-crashing events but never really knew what they entailed. It didn't take long to figure it out...
Yes, folks. Cars drive around and smash into each other. One of the most...uh, confusing?, strange?, intriguing?, forms of entertainment I have ever witnessed.
The only reason I even considered this event was because my roommate was setting up a big group date with some people I had never met, and true to my newly afirmed belief in trying to branch out, I accepted. I won't go into much detail about the actual date, considering it was not exactly what we would consider successful, but suffice it to say, I am impressed by the intensity of adrenaline that is evoked in guys who watch people crash cars into each other.
Will I ever attend a rip-roaring, car-crashing, front-end smashing, bumper-flipping Demolition Derby again, you ask? With the right people, sure. It was realtively fun and somewhat entertaining (once I stopped flinching everytime they crashed). Will I attend of my own accord, as a form of choice entertainment? Nope, but I don't feel strongly against them, if that's what you were wondering.
In the end, after getting stuck in Utah County traffic for over an hour (meaning it took us over an hour to go about 5 miles...one more reason to hate Utah County roads) I was glad I had gone. I enjoy doing new things, meeting new people, and having experiences that are, well, shall we say, interesting. Chalk it all up to grand experience!
Until the next time...

2 things to make my day worthwhile:
I almost went to that Derby---but plans fell through.
Found you on the new Blossoming Bloggers site. I'm trying to branch out, too---thought I'd start with blogs:)
Sounds intriguing! I wanna try...
