Summer!!!

Ah, sweet summer is here at last!

I love the first few weeks of summer vacation like I love hot fudge sundaes, sitting on the beach, and chatting on the front porch with my dad!

Speaking of...I had a fabulous time at home in Kentucky.  It had been such a long time since my family had been together and so it was wonderful to be with everyone.  I usually get a little anxious about spending time at home, mostly because I've been away for so long, but this trip was just pure good. I got to kiss and hug some of my favorite babies, spend a lot of time with my parents, giggle and be silly with my sisters, visit my dear Grandmama, and enjoy the Kentucky stuff that I love (like real BBQ you can only find in the south, lightning bugs, humidity, trees, lakes, gorgeous accents, twisty turny roads, and so much more!).

I can't wait for what the summer has ahead!  Here are a few of the things I forsee...
1. Moving to a new house with new roommates! Can't wait!
2. Camping trip with the SLs
3. Too many weddings to count (mostly in August...)
4. Small vacay trips...Idaho? Chicago? Cali? We'll see...
5. Running in the gorgeous morning sun!
6. Farmer's Markets!!!
7. Baseball games!!
8. Snowcones and ice cream cones
9. Hiking!!!
10. Staying out late, sleeping in. Dreamy.

Summer is my favorite time of year...I just hope I don't get too bored too quickly!  I'm so used to going 200 mph all the time and this summer I don't have too much to fill most of the days.  No grad school like the past 2 summers, no major trips like every summer of my life, no real job or prof. development stuff I HAVE to do, but I think it will be good for me to just learn to play!
